Hi Girls!
I'm really not good at blogging, but I'm trying to become better. I finally posted an Oktoberfest picture. :) We didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked. I wish you both would have been there to prost. Stacy...your blog is awesome. South Africa looks amazing and your stories are so intriguing. K2 -- we need to see some pictures of Danny and the other daters. :)
I am digging through more pictures to post...next up...Halloween 2006! Love 'ya!

South Africa, Here I come!
Hey girls! Kate, nice job with the last post...it was very online journal of you! I loved it. Today is a great day, because I'm only working until 2pm, then heading home to shower up and finish packing for South Africa!
We fly to Mumbai, then to Johannesburg, then finally Cape Town! I'm super stoked. Can't wait to share my pics, video, and stories with you guys! I'm going to be gone forever! We get back to Hyderabad on Sunday October 29th...it will practically be November! Woohoo!
Take care! Miss you!
How much fun did we have at Lish's Bachelorette Party back in June? Too much!

Shopping!
Stace- love the necklace!! It's very bohemian. Cool with a deep neck black/brown top and jeans! Nice work- and on a boat of all places!
I have a ton of pics I need to put up for you girls. I was so bummed that we couldn't all be in SF for Oktoberfest like we were last year...to the point where I got up and decided that my only option was to make my own Oktoberfest! (I think I was a little too good at recreating the German celebration, but I'll save that story to accompany my pictures...coming soon to a blog near you.)
My long lost Peruvian cousin, Fiorella (who still lives in Lima, Peru), gave me the contact information to her best friend, Patrick, who lives in Manhattan. (Stace- have I told you about my newly discovered Peruvian cousin yet?! Can't recall...but it's definitely a cool and very random story!) We spent both Friday and Saturday night drinking at this pub called, Zum. We hung out with some other Peruvians and an Austrian girl who knew the words to all of the German music being played. It was a total blast. Although, I do have to say- I think I'm all beer'd out for at least the next couple of weeks. Vodka doesn't really bother me much, but for some funny reason- I've found that beer is my kryptonite! Two and I'm completely under the table! WHOOOOOOO
Sunday afternoon, I dragged myself out of bed to head out to a Jets game with British Danny and a client of mine. It was SO cold and yet SO fun! British Danny, although one of many on the date list, is a very entertaining guy...and not too hard on the eyes. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the Jets game. Next time.
K1- you TOTALLY have to put some pics up of your SF Oktoberfest. I know you've been stockpiling a lot of event photos- blog 'em up!
Stace- I miss you as always...you look incredible. Keep the updates coming...I read them everyday!

Elephant Bone Necklace
It's made out of elephant bone (not ivory, don't worry)!
Since we don't get to shop together anymore, I figured this is as close as it will get...me posting pictures of random stuff I buy, to get your opinions!

Random pictures- members of the NY crew

Random pic #1: The girl on the far right in the white top is my roommate, Cathy. I took this picture at Cathy's fundraiser. She's running a marathon and has been training with a charity team. The girl on the far left is a teacher who works with Cathy. She's hilarious. I don't really know who the two girls in the middle are- we just drank together. hahaha
Random pic #2: This is me with my other roommate, Caitlin. We decided to go on a date to this AWESOME mexican restaurant a block from our apartment. Let me tell you- it was was delicious. We noticed that we were both wearing hooded tops, so after a few cervezas, we made our cute, little waiter take a picture. Who knows why....Both Caitlin and Cathy are such great girls. I totally lucked out! I miss K1 and Stace!!!!!!!!!!!!

Random pic #3: This is a shiny picture with one of my coworkers, Cornel Lee. Cornel almost attended Cornel University, but instead went to a school in Florida. When at work or on a meeting with Cornel, I often think about how cool it would have been if he had earned a degree from Cornel. Cornel, graduate of Cornel. Who names their kid Cornel?! Anyway- he's hilarious and he likes to drink. Great coworker.

Hanging Out w/ Ghandi

India has been great so far. Here's a picture of me with the statue of Ghandi on the beach in Pondicherry. There was a huge festival in honor of his birthday the weekend we were there, so we were able to climb a rickety set of stairs to the top of the statue, to touch his head. Ghandi's birthday also got us a day off of work...I can't complain!

Okay- this picture is from my first weekend back in CA from NYC (toward the end of August '06). Stacy was just getting ready to pack up and move out to India and K1, in K1 style, was all about living up every second of our reunion before she headed out to CO for her own Carlson family reunion. Here is where it all begins...
